Just left the awards banquet for AIR Houston (see knowbility.org). I am overjoyed to report that my team (techsophic.com) won third place in the ’stock car’ division. While our site would not likely win any beauty contests, the spirit of the competiton is to make the web accessibile to all; regardless of physical limitation, browser preference or internet device. Apparently our site met those important criteria, so I am tremendously proud of us and all our competitors. It was a very tight race, as everyone really ‘brought it’ so to speak.
Next year we’ll make it accessible AND pretty. Promise
As we celebrate at Cova with a bubbly flight, I toast you all!

You just have to go there. The food is pretty fantastic and the service is top notch. They are extremely friendly and attentive without even a hint of snootiness. Ask for Francisco. Order the charcuterie plate. Trust me. Just do it. Caesar salad prepared tableside was fantastic, duck confit and ribeye were both great. Dessert was heavenly. Try the bread pudding and the apple walnut gallette. The walnuts have a hint of thyme. Mighty fine. We also sampled some cornbread sorbet. You wouldn’t believe how good that was. Top it off with a tawny port and the ambience complete with the piano stylings of English Bob as they call him, and it makes for one hell of a night. I can’t say enough about the atmosphere. There was no hint of celebrity chef pompousness. It was jsut fantastic. Period. Relaxed and elegant. Perfect. Good job, Chef E. See my tawny port, attached
